We started Gymciety because we kept seeing the same thing: great coaches losing nights and weekends to admin work that didn’t make anyone fitter. We thought there had to be a better way.
OUR STORY
A coaching tool we wished existed.
The founders coached in person and online. Between them they ran programs for hundreds of clients across nutrition, strength, and endurance. They tried every coaching platform on the market and ended up patching together a Google Sheet, WhatsApp, MyFitnessPal, and a calendar app.
The problem wasn’t that the tools were bad. The problem was that the loop — program a workout, watch the client log it, give feedback, adjust next week — was spread across four products that didn’t talk to each other. Every Sunday night was three hours of copy-paste.
So they built Gymciety. The brief was simple: one app where the workout, the chat, the photos, the calendar, and the billing all live in the same place — and where the client sees a single experience instead of a Frankenstein of apps with different logos.
Today it’s used by solo PTs scaling past 50 clients and by gyms running multi-coach operations. The product is still small enough that the people who build it answer their own support email — and that’s a feature, not a bug.

Coaches don’t want another tab
Most coaches juggle a spreadsheet, WhatsApp, three apps, and an inbox. The right answer isn’t a fifth app — it’s one place that replaces four of the other five.
Software should disappear
A great coaching tool feels invisible when it works and obvious when it doesn’t. We measure ourselves on how few clicks separate a coach from the thing they actually want to do.
Clients aren’t a billing line
They’re people whose lives change because someone helped them. We build the client app with the same care as the coach app — because the coach’s reputation depends on it.
Quiet beats noisy
No flashy gamification, no streak guilt, no notification spam. Default settings nudge gently and stop bugging you when you’re consistent.

Coaches first
Every decision starts with a question: does this make the coach’s day better? Features that look great in a demo but make a coach’s afternoon harder don’t ship.
Client outcomes second
Coaches succeed when their clients succeed. We obsess over the loop: program → log → adjust → check in. If that loop runs faster and cleaner, clients hit goals and stay subscribed.
Honest pricing
No "contact us for pricing." No surprise upcharges. Pricing is on the page, the trial is real, and you can cancel in one click. Always.
No dark patterns
We don’t hide the unsubscribe button. We don’t auto-renew without warning. We don’t spam ex-customers with retention emails. A business that needs tricks to keep you is one you should leave.
